Periwinkle: I Dot Game
Periwinkle was commissioned by Matchstick Percussion and is based on the year 2022, who’s offical Pantone color of the year was the color of the same name: Periwinkle.
it The piece consists of three movements that are all played as games by the players (Dot Game, Cards, and Battleship). I based the pieces off of games that I used to play as a kid with my late Mom-Mom who passed away the year before the pieces creation. Periwinkle was also the color of my childhood bedroom. In the aftermath of the COVID19 pandemic, I wanted to create a piece that felt like an escape to simpler times and wanted the players to feel like they were playing a game rather than a piece.

Ah Chute!
Ah Chute! is another game style piece that takes inspiration from the classic game Chutes and Ladders. The piece can either be played from a fully notated score or by an open notation game board.
Written for and premiered by loadbang at Longy’s Divergent Studio 2023.
Two Sides
Two Sides was written for 3Dots Downtown’s Self-Portrait Competition event during State' College’s Centre Gives donation event. The prompt was to create “a self portrait” in three days to then be presented at the event. For my self portrait, I wrote a piece for the FrankenVibes that combined the two sides of the lyrical musical nature of the vibraphone with the gritty electronic screeching of the speakers that expressed how I view my own creative process and imagination. I also created original artwork that was displayed on either side of the vibes, creating “two sides”.
24 hour piece written and performed at Longy’s Divergent Studio based on scary stories I heard as a kid.
